Providence Point—a Great Place to Thrive
Whether your passion is playing tennis, bridge, or learning more about computers, our community has a class or group for you. We offer a wide variety of organized clubs and informal groups created by residents who share common interests. Some meet weekly and others monthly. They all foster social interaction and offer an opportunity to make new friends, engage in intellectual or physical pursuits, and learn new skills or enhance old ones.
Sports & Fitness: Our residents stay active by participating in clubs and groups that make physical exercise fun, including tennis, hiking, walking, aquatic therapy water exercise, pool/billiards, golf (with special arrangements to play at the Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course), and “Putt for Dough.”
Academic: Communiversity, for no additional cost to the resident, offers an extensive array of classes on a quarterly basis, ranging from geology and history to Zumba and yoga. The instructors are professional people with years of experience in, and a passion for, the programs they offer. A Computer Club also helps residents continue to enhance their computer skills.
Special Interest Clubs/Groups: If you have a special interest, you can either initiate a club yourself or join one of the groups already established here at Providence Point: art, garden, quilters, knitters/needlework, drama, pets (“Whiskers & Tails”), and book discussion. There is a Democratic Club and a Republican Club, a Food & Wine Society, and a Kiwanis Club that meets weekly with public speakers on interesting topics. For card lovers, there are three different bridge groups, plus pinochle, poker, and Shanghai rummy groups.

Are you a Wine and Food Enthusiast? Do you enjoy dining/adventure with other wine enthusiasts? If so, then the Wine and Food Society is calling you!!! We visit local restaurants and wineries, catered events at the Clubhouse and organized educational wine tastings in the area. We have board approved monthly (mini/major) events that are comprised of many activities. Mini events are usually dinner at a local restaurant with a special menu (at least 3 courses), and payment is made individually at the restaurant. Our major events include our annual dinner with dancing and the holiday gala. Payment for these events is made in advance. Membership dues are only $20 per person annually. The board meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room of Town Hall. Anyone is welcome to attend, or attend an event as a guest with a member. You can also contact Janet Eder at (425) 369-2213 or email@example.com with your questions. We look forward to meeting you at our event.
Music: Music is a universal language that feeds our spirit, and Providence Point feeds ours. A classical music group arranges for special concerts at Providence Point, and the Issaquah Chamber Orchestra and the Issaquah Philharmonic both hold practices on our campus. Providence Point residents are welcome to join the nearby Bellewood Chorus which performs at local nursing homes and senior residences. There are three fine pianos available for personal enjoyment and informal entertaining.
